ABOUT
  • Youth Corps Singapore is partnering with Info-comm Media Development Authority (IMDA), providing an opportunity for the youths to cultivate inter-generational bonding with the seniors through digital workshops.  

    Over 100 IT workshops are available and about 2,000 seniors will come together to learn digital skills for daily activities, e.g. make e-payment, create videos, check for fake news and much more.   

    At the workshops, volunteers will assist certified IT trainers to provide assistance to seniors on their queries. The queries are usually about mobile phone settings, getting connected through WIFI, app downloading and trouble shooting.

Volunteer Befriender

Volunteer Befrienders (VB) will be placed in smaller groups and will be stationed at the workshops to assist IT trainers to assist the seniors in their queries on using the smartphone.

VBs will be required to have either an Android or IOS smartphone.

 

Requirements

  • Age Range: 15 to 35 years old
  • Singapore Citizen , Singapore PR , Singapore Citizen , Singapore PR , Singapore Citizen , Singapore PR , Singapore Citizen , Singapore PR , Singapore Citizen , Singapore PR only
